Booby Trap: Baby Trap!

Urban Voice arts workers, David Reynolds and Jessica Harper performed a brand new educational 'short' at the launch of a comic yesterday.

NHS Walsall have worked in partnership with Walsall Council Creative Development Team and Local artist, Pete Chaplin to create a resource that tells it like it is!

The comic looks at the negative aspects of teenage pregnancy - and focuses on the issue of becoming a young father.

The premiere was extremely well received by an audience made up of young people, health professionals and school staff.

We look forward to the possibilty of developing the performance further and sharing it with more schools and young people!

Brand new commission: Map My Journey!

Urban Voice have just been commissioned to carry out a creative consultation on behalf of Walsall NHS and Walsall Council Creative Development Team.

The project will see the Urban Voice creative team, devising a series of consultation events to consult with users and providors of a range of services. The findings will then be documented in a variety of formats including film, graphics and web-based documentation.

The project will culminate in a dedicated website that allows service users and providors an opportunity to share their journeys, view the journey's of others and find help and support to begin their own.

We'll be posting updates as we embark on our work with upwards of 400 service users.........get ready to map your jouney!!
